Kim Warren grew up surrounded by great cooks who taught her their secrets. From helping her grandmother in the kitchen to learning from her own mother, Kim was destined to become a chef. She began working in restaurants at the age of 16 and went on to pay for a study abroad in college by selling her homemade cookies.
Kim found her passion for fine food while working through high school and college at The Five Alls and Royce’s Restaurants. Over the past 10 years she attended the Cooking School of Aspen to fine tune her cooking skills and then wrote and published the cookbook “Family Comfort Favorites”. She also hosted cooking shows including two PBS shows “P for Potato” and “R for Restaurant” as well as her own show on KJZZ TV Cooking with Kim Wednesdays that was part of the Home Team series. Kim calls her cooking style Family Comfort Food, the food that brings the whole family home and to the table together. She develops almost all of the recipes for her classes.
Recently, she and her husband opened Slices Pizza Joint in Holladay.
